同心同行,聚力大区,全竞提升,共创未来 ——江苏大区筹建委员会第二次会议

仲夏之际,三校聚力。2020年6月20日,以“树立大区一体思维,践行枫叶服务标准,构建体系生态系统,实现六五规划目标”为主题的江苏大区筹建委员会第二次工作会议在镇江校区举行,盐城枫叶国际学校、镇江枫叶国际学校、淮安枫叶国际学校的全体中层副职以上管理人员参加了会议,会议由镇江校区校办主任颜甜女士主持,会议上与会人员就招生、高效课堂、班风学风建设、英语分级、大区评估、大区重点工作等主题做了深度的交流与分享,共同为实现枫叶教育“六五”规划和江苏大区发展目标助力。

Three campus gathered in the mid-summer to hold the second monthly preparatory committee meeting of Maple Leaf Educational School District-Jiangsu. The meeting was held in Zhenjiang campus on June 20, themed with “setting up integrated thinking on development to build Maple Leaf ecosystem; Practicing service standards and realizing the development goal”. All middle and high rank executives from Yancheng, Zhenjiang, and Huai’an campuses attended the meeting. Presided by Tina Yan, director of Maple Leaf International Schools-Zhenjiang school office, the meeting exchanged ideas and communications on student recruitment, high-quality classes, construction of class atmosphere and good work habits, Maple Leaf English leveling teaching, school district inspection, and major work schedule. It contributed to realizing the goal of 6th Five-Year Plan and development of MLSD-JS.

Gentle navy ocean, unites two great nations, over brilliant waters, comes the pride of Maple Leaf.” The attendants sang the school song aloud together.


会议议程的第二项,盐城、淮安和镇江校区的招办主任分别汇报各校区的招生数据与招生策略。三位招办主任分析了2020年招生形势及面临的挑战,从教师推荐、幼儿园、机构、企事业单位合作、线上活动策划、宣传网络构建等招生举措进行了解读和布置。

As the second item on the agenda, admission office directors made reports on individual school enrollment and recruitment strategy respectively. They stated the current situation and challenges of recruiting students in year 2020 and talked about admission plan in terms of recommendation by teachers, cooperation with preschools, businesses and state-owned departments, recruitment presentations, online activities, promotional system, etc.


会议议程第三项,由淮安恩来枫叶国际学校校长郝红女士分享了江苏大区初小学高效课堂实施方案解读与质量提升措施。郝校长指出,要让学习目标成为贯穿课堂的主线和灵魂,在具体的每一节课中学生能达到厚积知识,破难解疑,方法优化,能力提高,学习高效的境界。高效课堂要以学生的发展为本,关注弱势学生,从最后一名学生抓起,实现人人进步。

The third item on the agenda, Ms. Hao Hong, headmistress of Maple Leaf Enlai International School-Huai'an, elaborated on how to understand the implementation of high-quality class plan and measures to improve teaching quality in ES and MS within the district. Ms. Hao pointed that schools should make the learning goal as the thread and inspiration go through classes. Consequently, students could add knowledge, settle sticky matters, seek solutions, improve ability, and study efficiently in every single class. High-quality classes base on students’ growth, pay attention to students who struggles and fall behind as well so that everyone progresses.


会议议程第四项,盐城校区教导主任王旭君女士介绍了如何做好初小学的班风与学风建设工作。王主任从打造物质文化、打造精神文化、打造制度文化三方面,以浓郁的文化气息,润物细无声去熏陶学生,促进班风学风的提升。

The forth item on the agenda, Ms. Wang Xujun, director of instruction office of Maple Leaf International Schools-Yancheng, talked about how to build class atmosphere and to develop good work habits in ES and MS. Mr. Wang suggested educate students in a quiet and mild way, then build class atmosphere and develop good work habits by shaping material culture, intellectual knowledge, systematic perception.


接下来,三位英语中心主任分别汇报了各校区英语分级测试情况与提升策略。三位主任介绍了提升枫叶英语分级教学的要点和重要措施,他们从中外教师教学安排、教师培训与教研、英语特色活动、日常教学管理等多方面多维度给予渴望全面发展的学生提供了更广阔的国际视野和发展天地。

Next, three ESL directors introduced MELT result of each school and strategy of improving grades. They introduced key points of Maple Leaf English leveling teaching and significant steps of it. They provided students who desire to achieve all-round development with a wide vision and bigger space by measure like arrangements for Chinese and foreign teacher schedules, teachers training and teaching research, English activities, and teaching management routine,




会议议程的第六项,成攀校长、李承校长、曾璞主任分别带来了提高小初高体系内升率的有效措施。他们深入剖析内升率课题,强调提升内升率,初中是重点,初中承上启下,是壮腰工程的任务要求;课程是核心,用课程体系推动才能彰显枫叶特色;教师是关键,转变教师的观念,高度重视内升率,扭转顺其自然的无为思想,提升教育教学服务水平;特色是推手,努力打造各学段特色,形成真正的吸引力,切实提高学生和家长的认同感。

The sixth item on the agenda, principal Cheng Pan, Li Cheng and Zeng Pu brought the meeting effective measures to raise inner promotion rate. They analyzed the rate carefully and emphasized raising the rate by relying on middle school, which bridges primary and high school. This is also required by the Enhance-the-Middle Project. Curriculum is the core and the impetus to highlight the characteristics of Maple Leaf education. Teachers are the key, thus it’s crucial to change their perception, to help them be aware of the importance of raising inner promotion rate, and to erase their passivity. In this way, teaching skills and service are to be elevated. Unique feature prompts the schools to create their own attractions appealing to students and parents and add to their acceptance.




会议议程的第七项,成攀校长、郝红校长、李承校长分别对江苏大区评估工作进行了总结反馈。评估组领导对三个校区的教育教学管理工作给予了充分认可,校区之间就教育教学进行了全方面、多角度的反馈交流。学生调查问卷中,学校文化氛围、班主任管理、老师授课、社团开展、食堂等满意度数据,均比去年有较大幅度提升。兄弟校区,以课会友,相互学习,相互交流,共促成长。

The seventh item on the agenda, principal Cheng Pan, Hao Hong and Li Cheng respectively gave feedback on and made summary of the interschool inspection. Leaders of the inspection team commented highly on the work done by each school. Afterwards, communications and exchanges about education and teaching from all aspects and various perspectives went on very well. Great efforts have been made in increasing students’ satisfaction with campus culture, form teachers’ management, teachers’ instruction, school clubs and cafeteria, which was indicated in the student questionnaire. Schools met to share ideas on giving classes, developed friendship, and moved forward together.




最后,江苏枫叶教育大区负责人兼盐城枫叶国际学校总校长熊瀚先生作了江苏大区重点工作部署。熊校长提出了24字工作思路:“拟思路、找不足、补短板、再优化、定标准、抓落实、促提升、求发展”他从校园安全管理和疫情防控、集团六五规划学习要求、招生与招聘、教学质量与管理、暑假工作安排和江苏大区布局推进五大方面对江苏大区的工作进行了具体的部署和安排,进一步明确了2020-2021学年的工作重点。熊校长鼓励全体干部围绕六五规划目标,以实干谱写人生,攻坚克难,用江苏大区人的激情、豪情铸就2020年全新的辉煌。 

Finally, Mr. Xiong Han, responsible person of MLSD-JS and headmaster of Maple Leaf International Schools-Yancheng, arranged major work schedule for the school district. Mr. Xiong put forward a work process with 24 Chinese letters: First we make up a plan, next find what need to be strengthened, and improve them; Then optimize the process, set a series of standards to carry out the plan; Finally realize the goal of boosting a promotion and seeking development. Mr. Xiong made a specific deployment and arrangement for following aspects: School security and pandemic prevention, requirements for understanding the 6th Five-Year Plan, admission and staff recruitment, teaching quality management, work schedule for summer holiday, and layout of the school district. His comments further clarified the work priorities of 2020-2021 school year. Mr. Xiong encouraged all attendants to find and solve problems with the 6th Five-Year plan as the center, to compose their lives with practical work, to overcome difficulties, and to create a new brilliance in year 2020 with the passion of the people of the school district.


通过半天的交流,江苏大区筹建委员第二次会议实现了会议目标,取得了圆满成功。此次会议的召开,促进了江苏大区校区之间的交流合作,更学习到了各校区的优秀经验与做法,大家集思广益、相互交流,深入探讨,不断优化,共同为实现枫叶教育“六五”规划和江苏大区发展目标助力,在熊瀚校长和各位筹建委员的领导下,江苏大区人同心同行,聚力大区,全竞提升,共创未来。

Through half-day communication, the second monthly preparatory committee meeting of MLSD-JS achieved a success. The convening of this meeting promoted the communications and cooperation between the schools in the district and gave all schools a chance to learn the excellent experience and practices of each campus. Everyone brainstormed, communicated with each other, discussed in depth, and continuously optimized to jointly achieve the 6th Five-Year Plan of the Maple Leaf Education and the development goal of the school district. Under the leadership of headmaster Xiong Han and members of the preparatory committee, the people of the school district will work together, make joint efforts, upgrade in full and create a better future.
